Nicosend
A tool for checking SEND paperwork against the SEND Code of Practice.
Upload an EHCP, annual review or provision map. Nicosend removes the personal details, checks the document against the SEND Code of Practice, and highlights anything that is missing, unclear or not specific — showing the exact wording from the document for each point.
What it checks
Nicosend reads the document and looks at things such as:
- whether outcomes are specific and measurable
- whether the provision in Section F is quantified — who provides it, how often, and for how long
- whether the views of the child and their parents are recorded
- whether each need in Section B has matching provision in Section F
Each point is marked green, amber or red, with the wording from the document that the mark refers to, so you can decide what to change.
How it works
- Personal details are removed before the document is checked.
- The document is checked against the SEND Code of Practice.
- Where something is unclear, Nicosend asks you to decide, and remembers your answer.
- You receive a report with the names restored and the wording behind each point.
Your data
Your school remains in control of its information. Personal details are removed before any document is checked, documents are processed on systems based in the UK, and they are not used to train anything. You decide what is shared with colleagues, and only you can delete your own work.
Your school is the data controller. Nicosend, operated by Mr Computer EdTech Ltd, acts as the data processor under a data processing agreement. Read the privacy notice.
